Mr David Thompson David qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Grant Thornton in 1972. He then worked for Deloitte & Touche in Bermuda before starting his own practice. David’s field of expertise is in taxation matters and he has a particular interest in advising those wishing to start up businesses. Married with six children David enjoys all sport, particularly Rugby Union, and has numerous other interests, though DIY attempts have been strictly forbidden by his wife! He has served as honorary accountant for several charities and is the long time secretary of the Harrogate Stray Defence Association. Mr David Mortimer Before he joined the firm in 1988 as Tax Manager, his specialist field, David had previously worked in the Inland Revenue and one of the country’s largest accountancy firms. Away from the office he relaxes as a member of two local quiz leagues and he has twice been a semi finalist on Radio 4s “Brain of Britain” contest, most recently in 2002. Mr Andrew Schofield Andrew holds the position of office manager and audit senior. He has been with the firm since 1989, becoming in 1995, the joint International prize winner in Management Accounting Exams. Married with a family he spends his free time on outdoor pursuits and gardening and is a keen DIY’er. Mr Hadrian Nicholson Currently Senior Accountant, Hadrian has been with the firm for almost 20 years and is involved and experienced in all aspects of accounting. Outside the firm his interests include keeping fit, scuba diving and he is also a Leeds United season ticket holder.
