David Thompson FCA

Born and brought up in Yorkshire, David trained with Grant Thornton’s in Leeds. After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1972 he remained with Grant Thornton’s for a further two years. In 1974 he began work for Deloittes based in their Bermuda office. It was here, working within a small team, that David audited the accounts of some of the world largest and most prestigious multi national corporations. During his time with Deloittes he gained invaluable insight and experience of accountancy practice at the highest level.

Upon returning to the UK, David chose to return to Yorkshire and establish Thompson Chartered Accountants. Mixing the best of both worlds, the qualified professionalism of larger firms, with the friendliness and personal service of the smaller local firm.
